I am new to rowing... This is my first time going through a "season change". After all the history items are calculated, etc. will my logbook show "lifetime meters" somewhere or does it only keep track of the current season? Can I apply my previous season's 101,093 meters toward my million meters or do I have to start over each season? I hope I'm making sense here...

PLEASE do not take any action re your historical meters - i'm still working on sorting out the summary meters - as soon as that is done the meter totals will show up correctly again.

please take a look at your meter totals - i've just updated the summary table information - successfully i hope - and am now turing on the history page on the log.

ps - as an aside i've also archived the entire table and results from last season so that there will be no chance of lost records...

The summary stats in the 2008 logbook are not working. It says I have no workouts in my logbook, even though there are five or so entries.

Also, the logbook bar chart shows nothing and training partners are showing last season's sessions and none from this season.
Otherwise, everything seems to be working fine!

thanks for the feedback - in theory these links are now sorted as well.
as a bit more detail:
each year we log over 1 million results during the season. The majority are simply log entries - a much smaller subset of results are 'ranked'.
at the close of each season i take several steps to move all the logged results from the main "Results" table into an archived "ResultsFrom2007" table.
This lets me limit the total size of the main Results table - improving the response time and efficienty of the overall system.
The overall process:
Step 1: I give a few days after the end of the season for people to make the last few entries for the season - rank them, edit them, etc.
Step 2: i close the entire system down and move the old results into the archive table.
Step 3: i then go through all the various pages associated with the ranking, challenges, team standings, etc etc and reset the season pointers to the new 2008 season.
Step 4: I then row my personal 500m piece and log it quickly - ensuring that i have first place for a second or two...
Step 5: i open the log and rankings - and then begin reading through my email to see all the things i have broken along the way.
Thats all there is to it - over 30,000 of you from 90+ countries have used the log over this past year - considering that when i first built it i was expecting about 200 people to use it i'm still simply gobsmacked over the participation level.
Wishing you all a great season -

And without all of these features, I would NEVER exercise as much as I do now. Thanks for all of your work!

Thx Bill for the great work, but my training partner's logs still show the 2007 data...
