Thanks for the memories Tyn. I can visualize that skit as I read the text.

ST.
It's not just any cheese, it's Wensleydale. A very fine toothy cheese.

You know, the best way to do gambas is grilled!
Somehow "Toss another gamba on the barbarcoa" just doesn't have the same "je ne sais quoi" as our downfriends' slang expression.

But tastes sooooo goood!

I went home last night and raided the frig for cheese. Unfortunately all that we had at the moment was a small piece of whole romano and a 1/2 block of a Wisconsin sharp cheddar. Needless to say the cupboard is now bare.

Oh, and I rowed for 50 minutes, WP4, so I could have the extra room.

Tyn,

In my travels about the States last week, I 'discovered' a great little restaurant in Philadelphia that has wine and chees tasting on Sunday evenings. Great variety cheese selections foreign and domestic. Called Tria. Near Rittenhouse Square. If you're every over here, check it out. Also a great tapas bar,in that city, Ancho: Bar Fernidad!

In Philadelphia, if you want cheese, you order a cheesesteak.

Aah, but that begs the question of which one...Pat's, Geno's, Campos', Shank's, Jim's, Leo's, et. al..

And besides I don't think Tyn wouldn't eat the meat. Hoagie roll, grilled onions and cheese whiz goo isn't too appetizing.

Let's be clear, it is not "cheese whiz goo." It is melted cheese.

If Tyn wants to tip toe out for wine and cheese in Philadelphia, he should be not be surprised when he gets booed, in keeping w/ local tradition.
