Greetings,

Concept2 is very happy to announce a "Beta Test" version of the "Fish Game" for the PM3. For more information, click here:

Fish Game

We challenge you to beat the Concept2 workout-room high score of 2355 (by our very own Jon Williams) and post your results here. Yes, this score is possible -- remember we have a bit of a head start. Feedback on the game can be sent to Concept2 by email to rowing@concept2.com or on this forum thread.

A bit of a hint: The game adjusts to your rowing pace/500 so don't overdo it. This game is for everyone and skill may be more important than your strength and endurance.

The fine print:
Please note that this is a "Beta Test" version and is subject to change and improvement before it is released in a future version of firmware for the PM3.

Also note that there has been very little testing with other applications such as RowPro, LogCard utility, etc. Please let us know of any problems you might have. If you do have problems, you can always just update again to Ver 90 Firmware.

Are you planning to translate the menu option "Play Fish Game"?

Who knows, maybe it won't be called "Fish Game" any more, maybe we'll come up with something cute. In any case, this is a beta, not a production release. There are other things that will need translation, such as "Score", "Game Over", "Play Again", etc.

-- Scott

Great game.

1560 on my first attempt. Like you say, if you go off fast its quite tough work, though. I only averaged 1:51 for 4 minutes but I was quite tired by the end. Lots of nasty anaerobic (sorry Eddie) sprints to avoid the black fish.

I reckon that Jon Williams must have studied the fish patterns to get that score.

Cheers Chris
Thanks C2. It's fun - Perhaps you can add "Highest Fishing Score" to the Ranked Workouts Page on the C2 Electonic Logbook.

Ernie

My first attempt was enoughto hook me, but each one after that has been worse. My most common mistake is that I see a nice juicy big fish in front of the nasty fellows and when going after it, it gets eaten just before I get there and then I get chomped, gotta work on that timing and realize which will be futile to attempt.
