Make PM3 go to sleep for shipping

Post by stuBriggs » January 13th, 2007, 10:20 pm

How can I program PM3 to not wake if buttons are pressed?

I want to ship my PM3 and not have it come on till either log card is plugged in or the fan wakes it up, just like I received it new from C2.

I could just remove the batteries, but that would make it lose the internal memory settings like the rower type. I don't want to have to tell the person receiving it how to change them back.

The PM3 Monitor does come shipped from Concept2 with the batteries installed.

Thanks for any help I can get.

Turning the PM On/Off:
The PM will turn on when you:
• take a stroke
• press [MENU/BACK]
• insert a LogCard or USB cable
• insert batteries or battery pack
The PM turns off after four minutes of inactivity
on a workout screen, or after one minute on the
Main Menu screen.

First, Thank You for your response but.....
Please read my message carefully before responding.
Again, How can I program PM3 to not wake if buttons are pressed?
Remember I want to ship this monitor with batteries installed and I don't want the monitor coming on as the package is tossed USPS truck to USPS truck and other packages are stack on top of it.
Concept2 programs these monitors before shipping not to activate till it gets a signal from the fan or log card, I don't know how they do this, that's why I'm asking.

Here's the answer, my sincere thanks go out to C2JONW

"You go to the language page (main menu, more options, utilities, language, then press the left lower button three times slowly followed by three slow presses of the middle lower button. Then the monitor will go blank and will only awaken when it gets a tach signal or a log card is inserted."
