We are paddling across Lake Titicaca for Christmas eve hosers. If you feel a little fatigued it is because the elevation is at 3812 meters (12,500 feet)!

Keep on rowin', eh.

Thanks Dave.

After last month's dismall 2K I was wary of the 5K. I kept well within my current fitness level and pushed the last 300m. Pleased with the result.

Cheers,

Kirk

Our Eh!Team boat is currently passing through the Puno province.

CTC

Post by margaret » December 27th, 2006, 2:12 am

I can't post my 5k on the CTC. Granted, it's not the fastest, but I don't think that's the problem. I got my name on the list, but it doesn't like my password. Thought I was supposed to use "c2ctc". Any suggestions? Any links to an explanation of what I should do would be welcome. I think I've spent way too long surfing the forum looking for more directions unsuccessfully. :?:

Margaret, I've PM'd Daren at the CTC for help with the log in. Will let you know what happens.

Cheers,
Kirk

P.S. Margaret, Daren's reply has been PM'd to you.

Thanks for the assist. I successfully logged in my 5k for the month and now have another reason to speed up.

Just 2 days away from reaching 500,000 meters since Thanksgiving.

Great job on rowing half a million meters since Thanksgiving, Margaret!!!

Is the Eh! Team going to participate on the January Virtual Challenge? If so, we will have to set up a team for the challenge (it's separate from the normal team ranking). I followed the instructions on the site, and it's pretty easy to set up a team. Is anyone else interested in joining the challenge?

Count me in Bri. I hope Margaret will be in too with her endeavours! I should be able to manage 200-250K as I'm back into 30 minute+ pieces.
I don't think I'll have too many goes at the CTC next month: 1000m @ R24 doesn't really fit in with a long distance challenge.
Happy New Year everybody.

Great to have you in the team, Dave!!! :D

And of course it would be wonderful to have as many dedicated rowers from the team as possible, no matter how much or how little you can row. Just set your own goals and hop into our challenge boat.

If you want me to add you to the team for the January Challenge, just send me a PM or a ranking email with your first name, last name and the email that you used on your (logbook) profile.

The name of the team is still open for discussion. How shall we call our team? Just "The Eh! Team" or "The Eh! Team All Stars" B) or "Beautiful Ergers" ? Or what else?

Jim, I added you to the team, so you should now be able to see "Teams" on the orange navigation bar on your logbook (at least I hope so). The name of the team is currently "The Eh! Team All Stars" since I had to give it a name, but it can still be changed. So I'm open to suggestions! :D

Well, now I should at last go erging, instead of surfing the net all morning. It's only another 25k to my weekly goal of 100k, and if I make it today, I can have a lazy day on New Years Eve :D

Brigitte,

It has been so long since I was on the forum, I had no clue what my password even was, but I have it all figured out now! I will send you a PM with my info and John's and I am pretty sure my pal Ellen who has been joining us for the CTC will want to join too.

I haven't been rowing all that much, more focusing on lots of different sports this winter. As a result my rowing times are going downhill  ! Oh well! I'm still participating, even if I am a slow-poke!! :)
