I've done 2 training rows that were not 10PS (still S) in the last 5 years, however they were in fact someone elses 10PS whom I was helping to find their rhythm a their pace. It was an interesting exercise, not being in control of the pace, but having to adjust timing by sight alone, like being in a boat and following a stroke (though there is a lot more feel involved in the boat).

I am using this concept in my training at the moment and finding it challenging. The main changes I have made are dropping my drag to 105 and of course upping my rate significantly for slower paces. The main advantage I see developing from this is that as I become comfortable with the higher rates (due to fixing the distance per stroke) it will become more naturally for me to up my rate to race a 2k (which has always been a challenge for me).
I have only been at it about a week but have found that my HR is a lot higher for paces in the mid to low 1:50's than it was at lower rates but this I believe is because the lower drag forces me to be much quicker in my drive and develop a higher peak force and when this is coupled with the higher rate it means I need to learn to relax and it is not a strength ..... hence I have gone back to square one, developing musculature control.
This means last night I set the monitor to 10k and rowed the first 2k at 2:00 then in 2k increments I dropped the pace by 1 sec/500 so it went 1:59. 1:58. 1:57 and the last one at 1:56. I had set my HR monitor with an upper limit of 146 (80% HRR) and noted that I completed the 10k without exceeding it. My next session will again start at 2:00 but will then drop to 1:58 for the 2nd then back to 1 sec drops and the last interval will be at 1:55, and I will keep this progression till my time outside the zone exceeds 10% of the total time at which point I will stay with those paces till can complete the 10k under that cap.
At least that's the idea at present.

Tyn just use the IGNORE FEATURE .... it pisses me off when people ruin a thread for their own perverse pleasure giving no consideration to the fact that others are taking the matter seriously.

Ok all that shit I wrote last night - forget it, its just to boring and I will never stick with it. Was up a big chunk of the night with a sick daughter and so getting to the gym was the first challenge, then decided just to do 10k at 2:00 s10mps .... 5k bored to death and stopped.
Time to play and wipe the cobwebs clear: 500m intervals / 1 min rest / s10mps / df105
1:50.0 / 27
1:48.9 / 28
1:47.9 / 28
1:45.9 / 28
1:41.3 / 30
went home feeling a little better ... to crash

Virtually none. I rarely take even an asprin, then usually a single tablet.
Have never been "on drugs", so yes, not being "on" would be "off".
You are not particularly welcome.
Seriously John, you need to seek help, impersonation and fraud is not mentally sound. It's starting to look a lot like your forgery committed earlier in the year.
