hi,

i have a pm3 on a model B; hooked into rowpro. when doing an interval workout, error "49 -x" pops up between the interval and rest phase. "x" starts out around 43, then seems to decrease as the wheel slows.

any answers?

thanks,
-steve

Are you running the latest version of rowpro (1.802) and firmware on your PM3? I don't remember seeing this sort of error before. Is that a rowpro error message? Although they are slow to respond, I would post this on the DR forum too and see if someone from DR will respond.

Main Forum

The PM3 error 49 indicates the PM3 isn't able to save the workout to the logcard at the conclusion of the work interval (prior to the reset interval). Without know the PM3 firmware version and state of the logcard it is difficult to diagnose specifically what is happening. Answers to the following questions would help to diagnose the problem, but the proper course of action is to download the PM3 Beta Firmware Updater from the Concept2 website and upgrade your PM3. The newest firmware fixes numerous logcard related issues which could be the cause of this error.

1. Are the workouts being logged on your logcard or do they show up in internal log memory (need to remove logcard in order to inspect internal log memory)?
2. Is the the logcard empty or does it have workouts logged on it?
3. Have you used RowPro to modify your Custom Workout list on the PM3? If so, what version of RowPro are you using?
4. What version of PM3 firmware are you using (check Main Menu->More->Utilities->Product ID)?

Note that if the workouts are in internal log memory they can be copied to the logcard from the logcard utilities menu. Do this before upgrading the PM3 firmware because the internal log memory will be cleared.

Mark

As long as your logcard can be read properly and workouts copied to it from internal log memory than nothing has corrupted the card. In addition to upgrading RowPro have you also upgraded you PM3 to Rev 090? If not, the errors may continue to occur.

Mark

all set now. it seems the correct procedure is to use "beta update" to install the version 90. although it doesn't say "90" anywhere on the page referred to by the link, and there is no link to the proper page in the thread describing the new release. gee, i wonder why i was confused?

-steve

Sorry about the link confusion; the changes to put Ver 90 in the "Firmware Update" area are in the queue to be updated. Soon...
