Post by murphypepper » September 3rd, 2006, 9:23 pm

Welcome to the most competitive group on the planet.

Here we will share our scores and advice and turn those Concept IIs into the tame mules they sound like.

tame mules ?

Indestructible means of self-improvement and/or self-torture.
Do your warm-ups, and cooldown, its not for you, its for your heart ! Live long, and row forever !

[update] not much of a distance guy, I guess

Post by murphypepper » January 12th, 2007, 1:50 am

Update:

500-1:28.0
1000-3:12.6

Thanks. I seem to have trouble with anything over about 5 minutes, but most of my training is geared toward 2000M, so hopefully this will change. Hitting a plateau right now--not making much improvement anywhere. What does "Bakes, undre 7:00. Even pacing" mean?

Murphy, with a build like that you're probably going to rip the fan cage apart very soon.

Bakes is my nickname for Rick Bayko. He has been staying under 7:00 minutes for the 2k since I met him. For me, 7:00 minutes is a very reasonable/respectable goal for any 50 something male lightweight. dennis
