Hi everyone,
I just ordered a C2 after also seriously considering a Water Rower. My only concern is purported jerkiness at the catch. Since I had rotator cufff surgery this past March (everything is fine now), I am somewhat concerned. I have been indoor rowing for 4 1/2 years (previously had a Tunturi R710 - similar to C2's mechanics), and have used C2's on cruise ships and have not experienced a so-called "shoulder wrenching catch."
Would you agree that with proper form this is not a problem?
Any input would be appreciated,
Thank you.
Harsh Catch -Shoulder Problems?
If your form is correct and your shoulders are relaxed and the catch and you should not have any "jerkiness". Be sure to drive with your legs first and break your arms after they cross over you knees. Most people (from my observations) that have a jerky catch is a result of pulling with their arms too early. Remember rowing is 70-80% legs.

Thanks for Your Reply
CoCanes, thank you very much for your reply and confirmation that I did indeed make the right decision - yes I do try very hard to use proper form. In fact, I concentrate on form and could pretty much care less as to time.
I keep a pace of 25-27 spm for 5 Km.
Thanks again.
