Them's fighting words - I'm sure unintended.
com on, Competetive sports is about being the best. So the open heavyweights is what's the most important. The further away the less it means. There is nothing wrong with that.

Maybe I am too old, maybe I am too stupid, but what the hell happens in this forum. (Indoor) rowing is fun, is lifestyle, is much more than doing a 5:55.

Everybody of us should be happy to have the chance to compete. It´s a nice hobby, nothing else. You can´t qualify for the olympic rowing team and it is no personal war. We integrate adapted rowers (EIRC) and we can see real champions in this races.

And here is a discussion about drug testing at BIRC.
A hammer, a medal: Yes, do what you are able to do, but don´t be a poser, with pumped muscles and small horizon.

So I would propose that we create an anti doping declaration, to have fair and proper championships.

No intention to offend those in the over 50s Lwt categories. However I think that you would agree, the majority of people checking indoor race results, tend to look at those categories last. Hence it's just unfortunate for those people competing in them.

But there would be no reason to ignore the over 50s categories as far as drug testing goes. You only need a situation like when Ranger broke the WR by a fair snap to get people asking questions. That is; if Open categories only got tested and Over 50s Lwt didn't.
PBs: 2K 6:13.4, 5K 16:32, 6K 19:55, 10K 33:49, 30min 8849m, 60min 17,309m
Caution: Static C2 ergs can ruin your technique and timing for rowing in a boat.
The best thing I ever did to improve my rowing was to sell my C2 and get a Rowperfect.

I agree.
But the declaration will do no good.
The dopers always declare that they are clean.

People like me are in a no-win situation anyway, when I row a witnessed sub 6.00 2000m people will no doubt think that I have taken some sort of performance enhancing drug, it goes with the territory.

If anyone wanted to test me I would be more than willing to comply, at anytime during my preparation as well as before and after any race.

I have no other comments to make about my ability, come and see how good I am for yourself, don't just listern to me telling you.

As it has already been stated, people on it will always deny it, so it does not matter what I say.

I asked the original question as I have not been to any Erg championships before.
