What is the plan for the distance for next week? I will out again this weekend, but at some point will spend a weekend at home.

I don't necessarily need to do it next week, and would be faster later in the month, but maybe one of the Aug Series distances should be 500m based on the CTC challenge. The CTC seems to get ignored over here on the US forum, but it would be nice if the CTC was regularly scheduled online for those that wanted to race that distance.

Sorry about the connection problems this afternoon.
My 6000m time was total 27:46, corrected for 5:36 handicap start it is 22:10

....Working on the results update after the 6k. Hope to have it today. Anyone who did a 30 min or 6k piece on their own this week? If so. post it here with age & hwt/lwt status and I will include you in the results.

What do you guys want to do this week? A quick 500 has been suggested. Any thoughts?

Hi Ernie

I turned up for the 18:40 Wednesday 40 min race, but no-one else showed up!

Decided to do it on my own on RowPro. Glad I did because I managed a new pb of 8222m (pb by 89m!)

I won't be able to make it for Saturdays race, but should be able to make next Wednesday. Have you decided what format that's going to be?

Sorry to hear you were left high & dry. I'm assumming you meant to type 30 min (not 40 min).....

We are going short this week....a 500 meter sprint.

I am going to set up the following workout on RP for Wed.

2000 warm up
500 sprint
7500 easy warm down

Ok...After 4 events, here are the standings for the 2006 August Rowing Series.

As you can see, we have a new leader in the Avg. Points category as Geurnot crushed the 6k HC race with a total of 964 points. Well done!

ps. The next event (tomorrow) in the Aug Series is a 500 sprint. Now, if you can't find the time in your schedule over the next couple of days to squeeze in 500m then you need to reassess your priorities!
