UNM Nonathlon Scores
Re: Gustaaf Joins 900 Club
Thanks, Rick! I only recently discovered the addictive quality of the Nonathlon, and my aim is to top 900 points on all distances. A negative side-effect is that my total number of meters is decreasing sharply - after another all-out attempt at 500m this morning I hardly have the energy to add more meters later today! Well, maybe a 1000m
Thanks, Jim, I fully expect you to kick me out of my seat real soon! I managed to maintain a 1:30 pace until there were 120m left; then my legs started to give out and I dropped to a 1:34 pace. At the same time, and next to me, Pat was rowing her first 60 minutes - an event I am still missing. Maybe tomorrow.
Addictions - Nonathlon
Gustaaf:
I agree with your "addiction analogy" with Nonathlon. I am 40 points behind you, but, I love the ability to focus on which segments are substandard and where I have excelled.
I check Nonathlon 2 - 3 times a week to see how everyone is progressing and our participation continues to grow! Bonnie told me this morning that I needed to update the results..... (I did them last night). She pulled a new record for her 2k and couldn't wait to get to work to tell me!

re: Rick's Nonathlon updates
Rick-
I have a feeling you'll be updating this month much more than usual. Thanks again for doing this.
FWIW, I'm with Gustaaf, in terms of goals for the Nonathlon, to aspire to reach 900+ points in all competitions...except for the FM.

nonathlon update
Rick -
I improved my scores in the 500 ( 138.3 a PB ) and the 1000 ( 3.29.3 not a pb). So my nonathlon points are now up 30 to 8486. I am delaying rowing the full marathon until December 1. I will turn 64 on that date and view the full marathon as a birthday present. The points will be higer then, too, and my time should be better than now.

Nonathlon Updates - Late Summer Doldrums
To My UNM Team Mates:
This has been a challenging time for my personal rowing and time available to commit to updating our team results (business trips, heat, vacation/business trips, etc.).
I have updated the Nonathlon Results as of September 18. 2006.
We have new additions to the 900 Club (Bonnie Hammel) and 16 of our 43 team members are participating in the Nonathlon Competition.
Congratulations to every participant.
