Model E coming in September?

Given your 1K time that I saw with splits under 1:25, it is reasonable for you to be shooting for a sub 6:03 time in November at BIRC. My question concerns British records. Is a British record the best time at a rowing event held in the U.K. or the best time by a Brit, rowed anywhere? I looked on the U.K. site for several minutes (not exhaustively) and did not find a clarification.

As I understand it, to qualify for a British Record that person has to be a British citizen.
The only record a person from overseas could get at BiRC is a Championship Record or some kind of All Comers’ Record.

To answer your other question, I will indeed be shooting for a time quicker than 6.03 at BiRC, I intend to make progress over the coming months not take steps backwards.

All you do is set the erg on the slides.

So the model E should work with them the same as the C and the D.

Sure John, so I assume you are privy to the engneering specs on the E to know, without a doubt, that the width of the legs on the E will allow an E model to fit on the slides properly. Yes?

Thanks for the answer. Makes sense. Just surprised I couldn't read that somewhere. And I'm sure you knew that the context of sub 6:03 was what is posted as the current British 2K record for 40-49 of John Dixon from Bannatynes H Club at 6:03.8 in 2002. Good luck and shoot for sub 5:58, if that is still the current world record.

Hi Mark,

From the picture posted on page 2 by c2Bill, the width of the feet seems to be identical (about 2 inches) for both models, so it shouldn't be a problem with the slides.
BTW, I got mine and love them. You were right that they make your legs work harder. Unfortunately, and unlike JR, I am not any faster on them!
