CTC voting
Team-
What do you guys think of getting ourselves on the CTC voting committee? Most of the teams participating in the Cross Team Challenge are able to vote. Seeing as how we are getting at least two boats per challenge, for the past 3 challenges, and nearly four this time around, I thought - with our numbers rising - that I'd ask what everyone thought. I can bring this up on the UK board after we discuss it for a bit. We'd have about a week to decide on what a certain month's challenge would consist of. Quite an honor, in my opinion.
Oh, and I believe we'd need to create a team logo, such as the ones you see atop the CTC page. Guess we'd have to talk about that too.

CTC Voting
Tom:
I agree it would be an honor to be included in the voting process. Just like our political elections, one vote may not win the competition, but....
at least we get to participate.
I vote (if I can) YES!

It's a good thing I only needed two votes to go ahead!rfahle wrote:Tom:

I'll keep everyone (well, whoever is actually reading this, besides Rick and I) informed on how it's going.

re: CTC voting
Well...we got it! Looks like October is our month to vote. A few members in the UK forum, under their own CTC thread, mentioned they should have a look at some of the newer teams more heavily involved in the CTC challenges and our team name came up. I'd also spoken to Matt Newman(co-founder of CTC) a bit over PM to give him an idea that we were interested. Now that he knows that UNM = Team Rowbo, we're good to go.
We have a few months, but may as well start thinking about the excruciating punishment we'll be serving out to hundreds of participants, world-wide, in October!

TO ALL ROWBO'S:
It is an honor to participate as voting members of CTC! Thank you Tom for coordinating the CTC activities. Our members should look at the Nonathlon Challenge scores (I will in a few minutes) to consider where our team strength is focused. I believe we can look at each Nonathlon category and average our scores to determine which category we excel in the most.
THE CHALLENGE FOR EACH ROWBO IS TO PARTICIPATE IN NONATHLON BEFORE THE OCTOBER VOTE! ROWBO'S RULE!

http://www.concept2.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9964 has the current list of who's chosing the next few CTC events.
And here's the specific post with the provisional list of who's picking the challenge for each month (if you don't want to read all 44 pages... ) As well as the beginning of a series of posts proposing guidelines for choosing challenges.Citroen wrote:http://www.concept2.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9964 has the current list of who's chosing the next few CTC events.
Good luck!

re: CTC voting
Thanks Citroen and Alissa! I read the UK boards daily, or nightly, so am up to date on what CTC is looking for as far as challenges. Was really looking forward to the 1609 for this month, but oh well.

how do we vote ?
I vote for whatever everybody else on the team wants. I'll be happy to do any distance. Since it is cooler in October, it leaves the door open for longer distances. ?ight be q godd tune up for the 200K Holiday Challenge.
