Iron Oarsman workouts streaming video and mp3

Post by xeno » June 10th, 2006, 11:49 pm

Hello All.

We got a great Sony WebCam which is pan-tilt-zoom and mic.
The picture quality and mic are great.
The viewing limit is ten at a time.

On another technological level I am getting a mac mic to record workouts which can be downloaded on mp3 players.

Sincerely,

Hello Hal
No the camera is not password protected.
There can only be ten people at the time looking at the camera.
If I move the camera around it is password protected but that should be rare.

Hi
I have an old mac and just a white Ibook.
The webcam can only be watched with PC based web browsers. The cam is online at the moment.

Hi,
Thank you for your compliments.
I need to tap into USROWING or Concept2.com to mirror out the workouts as to avoid limiting access to only ten users. The whole thing is a work in progress, extremely slow at times. One thing is a guarantee, I am running daily workouts at the Iron Oarsman.
Glad that you were able to hear ESPN, it is neat because it shows how live the cam is.

Hi Xeno

It does seem very dark at Iron Oarsman at 14:30 Australian time. :)

Will drop back for another look at more resonable hour, at least on your side of the planet.

Enjoying your DVD's by the way, recomend them to anyone starting out. Will no doubt be ordering the next two installments soon.

All the best. Peter E.

Hello Pedro
Thank you for your compliments.
What made you start rowing?
Currently, the Iron Oarsman is only open during workouts. This might change sometime in the future and you will see more action through the cam.
I am glad to hear that you enjoy the DVDs. They are fun to make and I enjoy talking about the rowing stroke when I do a workout live for rowers rowing next to me and while filming workout DVDs.
Sincerely,
