Your Choice.

Post by Chad Williams » May 23rd, 2006, 4:06 am

As requested by Daren (formally Taff Attack), it is time for another poll.

Let’s see who wants me to stay and who wants me to go.

Some people seem to like having me around, some people do not. I will let this poll run until Thursday 8.00 gmt.
If the poll says that people like having me on the forum I will hang around for longer, if the poll says that people do not want me around then I will leave the forum. If I do leave the forum you will miss out on my build up to BiRC and the result of my 2000m test in 2 weeks time.

I have decided to do this as some people are just so argumentative and just want to start trouble all the time and are not willing to debate issues, they spoil the forum for the rest of us.

I also would bring to your attention that every topic I have started has always been hugely popular with forum readers, I started one yesterday and within a few hours it had received over 40 replies and 800+ views, people say that I spoil the forum yet lots of people visit my topics.

My work with Dwayne is done, I wait for his “last word” on the whole matter as promised, I hope his “last word” is on an erg sitting next to me at WiRC 2007.

Happy voting.

This isn't the poll I suggested, as well you know. The one I suggested was the one that asks who is more popular, you or I. Futhermore, I didn't request a poll, I merely suggested it, and obviously in jest (with a hint of sarcasm).

I think it is you and your campaign that spoils the forum far more than anyone else hereabouts.

Don't mistake morbid fascination with genuine popularity. Maybe the threads are popular because it's fun to watch you get torn down time and again.

You're funny, but have proven nothing. Shouting doesn't strengthen your case at all, you know.

stay chad,

But focus on you buildup to birc/wirc. For all serious ergers this would be a great this to follow. Many people may not like you but someone going for a hammer and the standing WR set by Karpianen is always worth following.

Ps Your job on the other matter is done anyway :). getting him to admit is almost impossible.

I agree with that. I haven't voted, nor will I vote, in this poll, because whether I would rather see Chad go or stay really depends on what he posts if he stays. =)

Not that I'd want you to leave to board. If you have training and technique issues to discuss, I'd like to read them as I do others views here. Just knock off the DA and Taft Attack ditribes.

Where's the "I dont give a toss, so go and row/die/scheme/post/mouth off some more" option. Surely you must be getting bored/tired of this now, i really do believe your times as to post about a billion posts on the one repetitive topic must require incredible endurance.

Well we wouldn't want the forum to actually talk about something other than Chad now would we?

My first thought was that there should be a third choice - Who cares - but I voted yes because I believe everyone should have a voice (democracy). As individuals we can decide to read or ignore the postings

I did not vote because I don't think it should come down to a vote of whether someone stays or goes. Those that are sick of the whole DA beat down can just chose to not read and respond to your posts.

I for one would really like to hear about your buildup to BIRC, anything rowing related just as I like to see it from anyone on the forum. That after all is what this forum is all about. That would be making a positive contribution to the forum.

I'm glad your "work with Dwayne" is done. I guess I will believe it when I see it considering that every one (that I can remember) of your posts has centered on Dwayne.

RowtheRockies, yes my work with Dwayne is done. I will just have to wait for the day me and him meet, I want nothing more than to race him, this whole issue will then be finished, I know I have victory, no matter which way the coin lands.

That is the end of it, period. The talking is over.

OK then, start posting about your progress to BIRC. What kind of workouts you're doing, stuff like that. I remember from a long ago post that you had a PB real close to 6 or maybe just under six. Best of luck to you in your pursuit of a Hammer and a WR. I am excited to watch your progress.
