What do you like to look at on your monitor? Average pace? Projected time? Anything else?

Never projected time, just to disagree with John
I always set it to avg pace/500m and I have calculated what I need beforehand. If I use projected time the minute I drop outside target time my head goes down and I really struggle to get back in again.
On a 500m where projected and avg are the same I have handled down a number of times when I have seen say 1:38 appear and I am after 1:37

PM2 - average pace
PM3 - LARGE PRINT display - average pace (that's the PM3 option that looks most like the PM2)
For racing with the C2 Venue Racing Software I'll set the PM3 to show average pace and totally ignore the bottom of the screen (where the leaders in the race are shown).
I did a marathon on a model C with PM2 today. I set custom splits to 2010m (using [OK] and [metres] buttons) and set it to display the split for six seconds (with [OK] and [M] buttons). That was an ideal set-up for me.

All you need to do is set 2k splits for the marathon.
Afterwards subtract the first recorded (2 to 4k) split from the 4k cumulative to get the split for the 1st 2k. This gives you the first 21 2k splits.
For the half marathon do the same thing using 1k splits.

When I'm doing a time trial my display shows Rowpro pace boats. These consist of past rows around my current form plus one of another rower downloaded from the C2 rankings.
I only look at the computer monitor because what's showing on the C2 monitor also appears on the computer monitor ( but in larger case and in colour) below the pace boats.
So why would you look at the ergs monitor?
If you erg without Rowpro then suffer. You are missing out on a far more enjoyable and fulfilling form of erging. PM3 monitors in comparison are dull and boring and it's pace boats are a pathetic joke. Rowpro is the only way to go. It is also possible to download C2s venue racing software for local venue time trials against others.

PBs: 2K 6:13.4, 5K 16:32, 6K 19:55, 10K 33:49, 30min 8849m, 60min 17,309m
Caution: Static C2 ergs can ruin your technique and timing for rowing in a boat.
The best thing I ever did to improve my rowing was to sell my C2 and get a Rowperfect.

I have a PM2. When I do a personal best attempt, I watch watts, average watts, strokes per minute and meters remaining. Drag factor is up on the screen also but I don't really watch it.
I don't really watch strokes per minute during personal best attempts either. I watch stroke rate during training but during personal best attempts I do whatever it takes to keep a certain watt intensity.
