Looking back I've done 10K strapless @ 17spm in 1:55.7 pace but that was on the lowest drag I could get (93). Earlier this month I held 1:52.1 for 50min strapless @ 20spm so my PB is probably in there somewhere.

Cheers

Great HM Toddy. I knew you could go faster than the last PB, as you were talking to me and Roy for the first 12K of it and only got down to it in the last 9K.

Sir Pirate

I'm still doing 2:24 pace for just over 2 hours each morning, at 61 df and 27-28 spm.

This is fine, though I'm starting to get a bit antsy for pace work.

Carpet Burns, thought you'd be used to that Carole

Good to hear your spirits are keeping up.

I went to the doc's this morning but managed to get a 40 min stepper session in at 250 watts and a 5k before seeing him. I can now hear properly for the first time in ages, (I had my ears syringed )

Well done Toddy great effort.
Lee I think you may just beat your 1/2M time when you try
Carole, get a roller skate and tie your broken leg to it when the pain dies down a bit obviously.

Keep up the good work.

The place where I've always fallen down is sprinting during training. Okay, so 4x2k is hardly a sprint, but the closer I get to 2k pace the worse I usually get. 8x500m is out of the question, for example. I'd be lucky to get them all <1:42.

I think that a 2k+6 or 2k+7 average for this set is about right, so at least a 6:32.0 is on the cards. My PB is actually 6:29.7, but that was set as a heavyweight, so I'm discounting it for the time being. As I mentioned above though, I've never done a session quite as fast as this so either a) I'm a skinny lightweight now and so can go faster when it's longer or it really is a <6:30 next time!

My next 2k is at WIRC, so all sorts of annoying things like the 6 hour flight, 8 hour time difference, and different language will affect my time on the day. Joy.

Xav
