My first 30 minuter. Rough target was 6800m with a longer term target of 7K but I was pleased to do 7017 on my first go.
My next target is now 7216 which is the average for my age group on the Concept2 rankings.

Seems silly but I have a pb of 1:50 for 500M which is very poor and yet my 5K and 30M times are much better relatively (I think)

Cheers
John

Was going for a 5K pb today, but failed, just not mentally strong enough for indoor rowing. Got a pain in my shins at 3500m and had to slow, then took a drink. I don’t think I even had this pain; it was all in my mind, soon as the going gets tough I look for a way too bail out, such a coward. Not Happy at all.

5000m 17:29.7 (1:45.0) 302.6 watts
10 min rest
2000m 6:48.3 (1:42.1) 329.1 watts

Merry Christmas all

Sir Pirate
Are you gonna give it another shot soon?

Today managed to force myself into another 60min erg, my sixth one. Really want to get to the stage where I can do this regular without it being too daunting.

60min Strapless @ 22spm alternating 2:00 and 1:50 every 4 min, 15708m (1:54.8)

Cheers and Happy Christmas
Paul

15K of free rowing, with breaks, at middle distance paces (mainly 1:42-1:45, but with surges up to race pace), 2/3 power (10 SPI)
8 x 500m at 1:36, 3/4 power (11-12 SPI), 500m active rest
8 x 250m at 1:30, full power (13-14 SPI), comfortable rest
Total: 27K

Same as yesterday, basically, except I did a little more sub-1:40 rowing in the opening 15K and held the line on the 500s at 1:36.

Really getting good suspension on the handle now with my new stroke. With a little more lean at the finish and a little longer pull up the chest, 1:30 comes very smoothly and naturally at 36-38 spm. _Very_ happy with this. Sets the technical foundation for 500s at 1:30.

ranger
