Just started getting af little serious with my C2, about 6 weeks ago. Rowed a 2k, at 7.24.<br /><br />Started using the C2 interactive training program after that, and even though i had nemonia a couple of weeks ago, and had to take af break from training, i PB´ed today with 7.13.<br /><br />Even though I am nowhere near in the same league as most of you guys, I am pretty pleased with myself right now <br /><br /><br /><br />Best regards<br />Michael<br /><br />m28 78kg 1.82m

I was aiming for an avg. split of 1:45-1:46.<br /><br />I got into the rhythm and for the top 1500 m i had a 1:45.9 avg split with a 31spm. Bottom 500m i got ready to make my move and started negative splitting... Bottom 300m i started kicking in and emptying the tank... It was about a 35spm and i was around 1:43-1:44.<br /><br />Final avg split was 1:45.2<br /><br />I was esspecially pleased since I had to loose 3.5 lbs over the night and until the weigh in... So after not eating for 14 hours and doing sweat runs and too many jumping jacks and making weight by 2 ounces i was pleasantly suprised.<br />

30'@r20 Pb, accidental again 8141m, split was something like 1:50.5 with a 1:3??? last 500m, easy, still havent got the timing right with these longer pieces, will hold sub 1:50 next time, but feel i'm probably quicker again. Seem to find pacing myself for shorter stuff very easy in comparison, looking just about right to hit sub-6:20 in 6 hard weeks time i hope Need to uptadte a couple more of those old Pb's on the way! <br /><br />Owen 8)<br /><br />

I was in the HS crowd at the Brighton Burn (I row for Brighton, we host it, got a really nice turnout this year!) as a lwt JR girl, I got a very unexpected PR there! I wasn't planning on really trying (it's a required race for us) but after coxing a teammate in the heat before me, I was so pumped! Ended up winning my event (quite competitive...me and three teammates....eh) with 8:05.7<br /><br />I guess I saw you there, then, medicineman. My dad was taking the pictures.

PB @ 20' today. 20' may seem like a weird distance, but it is my favorite and the perrenial erg piece at my team's practice due to time constraints.<br /><br />Splits :<br />20:00 1018 1:57.8 24<br />16:00 1023 1:57.3 25<br />12:00 1037 1:55.7 25<br />8:00 1049 1:54.3 25<br />4:00 1087 1:50.3 26<br /><br />Total 5216 1:55.0 @ 25<br /><br />My attainable goal for the entire season was 1:55 on a 20' and to almost break it (i reallllly wanted that 1:54.9) so early in the season, is something I am pleased with. I was the geezer hanging around station 5 wearing the yellow baseball hat. It would have been nice if it could be in a gym with seats instead of shoe-horned into the cafeteria. Thank your father for me. As a suggestion, it might be nice to have the pictures available for download onto a flash memory device instead of just hard print-outs. As it was I scanned his picture of me and cropped it so my avatar on this forum is me during the race.<br /><br />Maybe you can let Lori Gilley know that I think it might be fun to have an endurance race available too. For example, I would have been happy to compete in a marathon or half marathon during the event. You'd probably only have to use 4-5 ergs for the entrants and a lot of the warm-up ergs were idle most of the time.<br />Kim
