I admire how dialed in some of you are on these pieces. I do well to string two consistent splits together. I've a long piece planned tomorrow, will see what I can do.Dangerscouse wrote: ↑April 21st, 2025, 4:24 am1:42:40.1 25,000 2:03.2 187 944 19 133

I woke up earlier than normal, so I thought I'd take advantage of it.
Sorry to hear about needing the vets, hope they're OK. This is a really strong 12kr20, especially that last 3k.alex9026 wrote: ↑April 21st, 2025, 8:08 am45:26.2 12,000 1:53.5 239 1121 19

12kr20 post weights. A rough night after a stressful trip to emergency vets (not even chocolate related on an Easter Sunday) so pleasantly surprised with this morning's work. A repeat of Saturday but a touch quicker and 2k longer. Perceived effort about the same, the body be damned...
60km on the bike yesterday. I wouldn't say Erg'ing is making me stronger on the bike, I don't cycle enough to recognise that, but it's certainly not making me any slower... Except hills, but I guess Ergs don't go uphill!![]()

Thanks Stu, on the dog and erg front. She'll be okay, 48 hours was crucial and we are about there. She's on medication and got to it and massively overdosed... My low rate stuff is coming along nicely. 14 million puts my 2 million in to some perspective!Dangerscouse wrote: ↑April 21st, 2025, 9:06 amSorry to hear about needing the vets, hope they're OK. I've found consistent splits happen with enough training on the erg. I used to try and OCD splits about four years ago, and that helped, but I gave it up when it kept spiking my HR, and then lots and lots of eyes closed rowing (probably circa 14 million metres) eventually tunes in your intuition for splits. I've got a good grip on rhythm (I used to DJ and still make my own mixes) so I'm not sure if that also helps?
Glad to hear that. It's always stressful when they get so ill you need to take emergency action.
