This is really impressive.

HM today. Quite a while since I had a proper long piece.
Ergzone didn't record the session, no idea when that happens. It was ready to start, then flipped the phone for a blind row and the app was shut down when I finished the HM. Had this 2-3 times already and on different devices.
Pace went from ~2:02 to 2:03.8 at r18.

I seem to be working on different systems. Cardiac is fine and this felt good and manageable, but pulmonary was a bit of a struggle.*

My digestion hasn't been right since Friday morning, so no doubt that is playing a role in it all as, if I'm unable to extract the energy properly from my food, there's no chance I'll have a normal amount of energy. This was an unusual late row, due being too fatigued this morning, to further prove my point.

* it looks like my HRM didn't latch on properly to start with, so that's why it was so the first 2.5k wasn't indicative of effort.

60km on the bike yesterday. I wouldn't say Erg'ing is making me stronger on the bike, I don't cycle enough to recognise that, but it's certainly not making me any slower... Except hills, but I guess Ergs don't go uphill!

I admire how dialed in some of you are on these pieces. I do well to string two consistent splits together. I've a long piece planned tomorrow, will see what I can do.

Sorry to hear about needing the vets, hope they're OK. This is a really strong 12kr20, especially that last 3k.

I've found consistent splits happen with enough training on the erg. I used to try and OCD splits about four years ago, and that helped, but I gave it up when it kept spiking my HR, and then lots and lots of eyes closed rowing (probably circa 14 million metres) eventually tunes in your intuition for splits. I've got a good grip on rhythm (I used to DJ and still make my own mixes) so I'm not sure if that also helps?

Didn't get the proposed long row in, life got in the way. I did however get two pieces in, with said life business in the middle of it:

20:00.0 6,249 1:36.0 395 1660 30
1:00.0 301 1:39.6 354 1516 27

1:00.0 308 1:37.4 379 1603 29
1:00.0 311 1:36.4 390 1641 29
1:00.0 308 1:37.4 379 1603 29
1:00.0 312 1:36.1 394 1654 30
1:00.0 314 1:35.5 401 1681 30
1:00.0 315 1:35.2 405 1694 31
1:00.0 317 1:34.6 413 1721 31

1:00.0 319 1:34.0 421 1748 32
1:00.0 319 1:34.0 421 1748 33
1:00.0 313 1:35.8 398 1668 32
1:00.0 313 1:35.8 398 1668 32
1:00.0 314 1:35.5 401 1681 31
1:00.0 316 1:34.9 409 1707 32
1:00.0 317 1:34.6 413 1721 33
1:00.0 322 1:33.1 433 1789 36

20x1:00/1:00 following a 20 mins warm up, a decent hours work. No chance of replicating the 24r limit from last month's team challenge, too leggy for that.

45:02.8 11,301 1:59.5 205 1004 20
11:58.9 3,000 1:59.8 203 1000 21

9:08.2 11,301 1:59.1 207 1012 20

Some steadier metres to wrap up the day.

So missed the long piece, but accumulated a good bit of volume.

Glad to hear that. It's always stressful when they get so ill you need to take emergency action.

I can assure you the lifetime metres sooner accumulate. I only noticed yesterday that I'd just gone over 20 million on my own erg, and more surprising was that I've done 92k in interval / rest metres!! No idea how, as I never used to row in between intervals until fairly recently.
