Tacked 47m onto my 30 minute PB yesterday. Now at 7913m, 1:53.7. Been a long slog back from injury, but I think I may finally be getting there.

New HM PB 82:43.1 26spm 1:57.6 AHR 151 MHR 161

That is an improve of 75 seconds on last week which itself was an improve of 11 seconds. And I was lwt before starting and about 4 lbs under at the end

I feel good now. Finished off with 3K so my biggest day ever, just over 25K. I had a 3 hour drive home straight afterwards and I am still on top of the world now.
Beer does it for me after a hard work-out. I was once tee-total for 9 months and ran the 3 Peaks of Yorkshire race (23 miles, 5500 climbing) and downed about 6 pints later on. I was completely gone though
Have you done a full M? In the back of mind, I have been toying with signing up for one of the HM's next week, but I was only thinking of holding a 2:00 pace.

Read my Diary entry Michael, (see sig) which posts a note on the wall about the time I am aiming for in a FM. Only the target though and I cannot be sure I can deliver.

I am loathe to stick a time down in public as I might be accused of making it up or not delivering or whatever if I cannot do it.

PS Hopefully you will find it a 'right rivetting read' anyway

Cheers

John

New 2K PB:

07:26.1

During the Fall Series RowPro race this morning.

Down from 07:29.8 (-3.7 seconds)

Now, it appears, the improvements come much more slowly.

The real work begins ...

John, now it's time for a Boddingtons ... my new favourite beverage. We finally have those amazing cans with the pressure device. It pours from the can as if from the tap/spigot. Beautiful.

Probably should wait a few hours, since it's only 8:52 a.m. here!

-- Mark
