Hi guys.
We used to have a team called “Whitby Rowers”, which fell out of action but we would like to be reinstated if possible.
Light green on colour if possible. Not yellow/red/blue

are 3 clubs in Whitby and that would create arguments

You'll need to contact the organisers of the current site:

Hi All,
Here in the Red Line Rowers camp, we have concluded our discussions and vote on what to set as the January 2025 challenge, and I am delighted to let you know well in advance that we have chosen ... a "short" and sweet 5k time trial - "The RLR New Year 5k Sprint". So a straight 5k sprint to help you all to bring in the New Year with a bang. We're looking forward to seeing lots of SBs and PBs from y'all.
All the best for Christmas and the New Year,
George Bingham

The Gee Crew's challenge for February is 300 metres with normal rules applying. Tommy is keen to get more youngsters involved in indoor rowing and would like the title of the challenge to be 'Encourage The Kids'.

There were some great performances over the 5km January challenge. SPU finished on top of the leaderboard with The Diamonds producing 92 boats on the virtual river.
Both VESLUJ.com and Aussi Roos, having as new teams produced boats on three consecutive months, qualify for a challenge. A team representative must contact me for this to happen.
Future Challengers:
March - FIN VS
April - FIN KeU
May - Team Oarsome

There are some 'interesting' results in the Carole McNally challenge at the moment. Paces range from 0:15.4 at the top to 3:12:34.9 at the bottom of the table.

That's because many are not reading the description and enter their 300m results.
The slow pace values have probably other reasons, I assume these people recognized their wrong entries and did some overwrite with nonsense results.

So who's going to inform them of their mistake? If no-one does, it makes this attempt at a tribute to Carole and her wonderful life a joke. Not impressed!

FIN VS has set the March challenge:
"100 meters, 30 sec rest, 900 meters, 30 sec rest, 900 meters, 30 sec rest, 500 meters. Standing start for the first interval, rolling starts allowed for the rest.
The idea behind the numbers is that our team was founded in march 1995, so it is our 30th anniversary this year."

This change doesn't seem to have been well pulicized, so I'm posting my understanding of the changes here.
From now on, CTC can be done on any ERG. The Web form asks what ERG was used, but they seem to have omitted SkiERG ... presumably that will be fixed.
For BikeERG you need to double the distance for events that are set by distance.
For events that are set by time, you need to halve your BikeERG result distances when you enter them.
I'm sure somebody will correct any inaccuracies in my understanding.

Have seen it today too and was wondering about missing skierg selection. Currently skierg entries appear as RowErg.
For bike erg I don't see any reasons why you should cut meters in half, when entering your score. As only bike is compared to other bike entries (at least this was what I understood, when it was discussed), it shouldn't matter. Otherwise the page should do that to prevent failures by user calculation.

I'm not on Faceborg (as Citroen says), or other social media, so I have no idea what this change mentioned is all about. Can someone post it here, and the appropriate web manager update the CTC web instructions.
Thanks!
Mark Underwood. Rower first, cyclist too.
