SkiGrip with SkiErg (skiing-like straps)
SkiGrip with SkiErg (skiing-like straps)
I noticed that some managed to install [SkiGrip](https://exxentric.com/store/kpulley-cat ... rip-elite/)-like handles on SkiErg. Where do I buy those (preferably EU but US shops also work)? Your experience using them?
The elite sometimes use them on SkiErg (see e.g. [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTEQNv6n3j8)).

Pretty nice, although they may not be allowed for records? The site you linked ships worlwide.
"Standard Record Requirements
All world and national records must be:
Completed on a Concept2 RowErg (with or without Slides), a Dynamic RowErg or a SkiErg. This equipment must sit on a level surface. Modifications to the machine that alter its performance are not allowed. Please check with Concept2 if you are unsure."

Re: SkiGrip with SkiErg (skiing-like straps)
Xc handles don't alter machine perfomance.
Skierg Marathon WR are done with leki ski handles.
I use some random xc ski handles with Kv+ elite straps, much much better than green handles.

Re: SkiGrip with SkiErg (skiing-like straps)
I use these:
https://concept2sverige.se/products/grip-adapter
Supergood and easy to use. Simple to bring and use on any Skierg with the green handles.

Re: SkiGrip with SkiErg (skiing-like straps)
Any picture and/or links to them ? How the handles are installed, how the straps are fixed etc.
I kind of dislike the stock handles too.

Thx Dpoleit89. I'll try to find something similar, it looks reasonably cheap to give it a try.

Interesting, thanks. Do you have a few picture of them (the removable pin part and the hole it goes into, in particular) ?jorgensor wrote: ↑February 19th, 2025, 11:49 pmI use these:

I don't see these sold on any other site than then one you gave (Sweden), maybe I'll find somebody to 3d print something similar.

Hi all, just bought a random pair of nordic ski handles & straps (the first cheap thing that was easily available here in france) and I've installed like below. I'll test them over the weekend.

Re: SkiGrip with SkiErg (skiing-like straps)
Tried them today (well, just 2 easy 10' as warmup and cooldown of a rowing session).
Work nicely, I find the straps a bit stiff on the hands but maybe it's a matter of habit and/or break-in.
I had to change slightly how the cord loops around them, as below.
I'm a bit concerned about the cord rubbing against the handle and the strap and ultimately wearing too quickly. Granted, cord is cheap but changing it is a pain.
If needed, I'll try to wrap the cord in something where it rubs: insulation/sheating from an electrical wire ? maybe a C shaped half-pipe piece of plastic (like 3d printed) ?
Anyway, longer testing this weekend to see if there's any real improvement over stock handles.

Re: SkiGrip with SkiErg (skiing-like straps)
Tried them on a 2x30', I like them.
To avoid having the skierg cord rub too much against the straps I added the sheating of a power cable, held in place with some duct tape.
But I'm realizing right now that the swedish concept2 site says you can simply add a carabineer to the cord and to the strap loop exiting from the top of the handle, doh than would be easier & better. Will do.

But I'll also give some homework to a friend with a 3d printer, the adaptor to the stock handles is interesting too.
