Hi community,
has anyone successful paired an Amazfit Smartwatch (i have amazfit band 5 and amazfit balance) with the PM5?
Amazfit devices are able to broadcast the heart rate during workout. Other devices are able to find my amazfit devices and show the heart rate, but my PM5 does not detect the amazfit devices.
Maybe someone has a hint for me how to connect them.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Amazfit Smartwatch and PM5
Short update,
after the last update of the Amazfit Balance watch the connection is working smooth and i like it to have the pulse on the PM5.

Have not tried one. How often does it push an HR update? How does it compare to say a Polar chest strap? Thanks

Re: Amazfit Smartwatch and PM5
Sorry to hijack this thread:
I also own a Amazfit Balance watch, however I cannot manage to pair it with the PM5
It is on Firmware version 176, Hardware verison 620.
The watch has version 3.25.5.5
Is there any special trick necessary to pair the two?
Thanks in adavnce!

I have lost motivation where HR is a key measure of effort in sub-maximal exercise.petinsurancebuddy wrote: ↑February 18th, 2025, 8:34 am** "Have you ever experienced a heart rate monitor malfunction during an intense rowing session, and if so, how did it affect your performance and mental state? I have had some of my best TTs when HR not measured so perhaps pushing myself past what I believe the HRM is indicating are my limits. Unfortunately HR increases due to fear of failure so can provide an excuse to stop that is not warranted from the metabolic condition of my body.

Re: ** "Heart rate monitors.
I've seen a spike near the end of a TT, but it doesn't ever bother me, as I don't focus on it or give it much importance. I have also turned it into an advantage on occasions as I start debating how it doesn't feel that bad, so it's a useful distraction.petinsurancebuddy wrote: ↑February 18th, 2025, 8:34 am** "Have you ever experienced a heart rate monitor malfunction during an intense rowing session, and if so, how did it affect your performance and mental state? I'm not a slave to HR at all, and I use it as a post-exercise assessment rather than an intra-exercise assessment. I'm far more bothered by RPE, not least as I've failed sessions whilst hovering around 86-88%
