This was my favorite sake when I was living in Japan:

Kikusui Funaguchi Nama Genshu Draft Sake

Comes in a can, consumed at room temperature, paradise.
ROWSTRONG / RIDESTRONG

Just call me, "Wild Bill"

Every New Year's eve, the Lunies host a virtual new year's eve party. Either Jane or danwho acts as the virtual bartender, and we post our virtual drink orders here. It's getting a bit close (although danwho did give me a heads up a few days ago), so be thinking about how you would raise your glass - and what you want to see in it ! These virtual drinks are often quite exotic requests, and our bartender needs time to gather the materials. Any history you have about your drink (alcohol, non-alcohol, synthrol) is welcome. Recently, there have also been some postings for appetizer recipes, too.

danwho - are you up for the bartending assignment again this year?

Lunies - please start posting your NYE drink orders soonest!

The virtual drink orders are starting to come in! Excellent! If you're seeking the unusual, give danwho a day or two to find it....and does the type of drink you'll be toasting the new year with say something about the kind of year you're looking forward to...or the one that you just experienced ??? Inquiring minds!)

I could go for some Colorado Bulldogs with Kahlua, please 😋 I haven't had one of those since my, "Hey ladies, let's pick up and go to Vegas" heydays. Good stuff, good times!

Here we are on New Year's Eve Eve...! Get those beverage orders in soonest! I found I was waaaay behind the times on cocktail bars quite recently when young family members were here. The downtown scene offers bar options that are nationally well rated....places like Death & Co...where mixologists concoct perfect combos. Mescal was the drink of choice for some....what a bar name, though!

Hah ... I just realized why I couldn't login to the forum, these past several months ... "correct the misspelled word" ... duh. Must read instructions before throwing up hands and walking away!

So, just in time for NYE drink orders. Yes, please ... I would like my all time favorite adult beverage ... Champagne! AJ would like to join Wild Bill, with a request for sake ... either hot, or at room temperature in a can, please. Virtual fun times ahead in 10-Forward. We'll bring a platter of sushi ... a logical appetizer to go with sake ... and, Champagne, of course. No worries ... non-raw options will be included. Happy New Year, Lunatics.

A brisk morning (hovering at 4 F) with some snowfall! Hoping that the wind didn't create major drifts down by the gate...that would mean snowblower time (which is a lot more work at 8300 ft than at 5600 ft) !

New Year's Eve!

Oops! Almost forgot, being a laggard on the forum (and the rowing)... Hopefully not too late to order an Elderflower G&T for me and an Old Fashioned for Sorin.

Happy New year to all!!!
and Happy rowing!
