Real time loop messaging

Post by Rfarkash » December 5th, 2024, 11:00 pm

Is there a message board for contacting people you keep seeing on the real time loop? Been using it pretty regularly the last week or so and seeing some of the same avatars day after day. Would be nice to be able to reach out and say “hi”, “nice job”, or add to training partners if allowed.
Not holding my breath for C2 to integrate into the app itself, but maybe they could add a section to the forum for this purpose?

I haven't used the loop for a while, but for a time I was using it a lot, and saw, and wished the same thing. I believe I asked the same question back then, but it didn't seem like there was a way.

Unfortunate. Hopefully C2 does something - real time loop could be next level with a way to identify and message others.

Another question - why do some avatars stay motionless on the start line or other places on the loop for hours? Would have thought that once the pm5 goes to sleep after a few minutes they would automatically be disconnected? I swear I see some avatars motionless for days…

Most likely they entered the Loop to check it out or finished but their session was not closed (on the C2 side) even if the person's PM5 connection timed out.

I agree that'd be fun. I started looping a few months back. I generally do 10k rows 3-4 times a week around 12-1 Pacific time. I generally row at a 2:05 pace but if I find anyone cruising in the maybe 1:55-2:08 range I'll pace them because it's more fun to row with someone else even if I can't talk to them. My avatar is a big smiling bald guy with a beard. Hope to see someone.
