I have the disadvantage of being only 172cm tall.

I've been rowing lots of strapless 10 metres per stroke at 23/24SPM. I love doing that - I think a pace of better than 2:18 is now possible for a FM. I may row the next marathon strapless.

It's been very hot in the gym recently (despite the fact it's, in theory, got air conditioning) if I row much harder I melt into a pool of sweat on the floor.

I'm heading steadily for 1,000,000. I'll reach, exactly, that target on 10th Sept when I row my next marathon.

2000 meters : 7:09.7 @ 30

My goal for septmeber 1st had been breaking 7:10, and last night I just decided this morning I would at least get the low teens, if not 10, out of the way. I kept it pretty consistent within my goals, and then just sprinted it out at the last 250.
Splits
500 : 1:48.3 @ 30
1000 : 1:48.5 @ 31
1500 : 1:48.5 @ 30
2000 : 1:44.4 @ 32

Should be noted i did my longest warmup ever, 2005 meters with race pace for 10 - 15 strokes every 400 meters or so.

Just cracked my brand new C2 out of the box this afternoon. Ripped off a 2:23 500m wearing jeans, second workout of the day today, first C2 500m ever. Yeah I'm bad, bad to the bone. Whoo hoo, everything is a pr from now on!

17 km at 1:49.9 @ 22 spm.

it's the first time i row anything over 1 hour, so it's a personal best in that sense...

i thought i would work my way up to a half marathon (p.b.s all the way!), but considering the amount of sweat involved, i am not so sure anymore.

Okay, this workout, my second ever, was for real. 1:56.2 for 500m. Beat my pr from last night by 27 seconds! I'm flying now! SRM was pretty high, 32 SRM.

Already a 1:56!! Now that you have a personal Concept2 you can set your personal records for all of them right away, and then you have a benchmark! Keep up the good work!!

New PBs for me - 500m 1:40.2
5k - 22:15.2

QUOTE(Lincoln @ Jul 29 2005, 11:14 AM)

Okay, this workout, my second ever, was for real. 1:56.2 for 500m. I think I can get into the 1:40s just by getting my pacing and rowing cadence a little better. I started my sprint at the end too late because I was trying to keep my SRM low. I think next time I'll just "grip and rip" and see what happens.
