The votes on the continued inclusion of Dynamics in the CTC were:

Yes: 221
No: 151
Separate Team: 17

A clear majority in favour of their continued inclusion.

Not a big surprise, as the team using it the most contains 400+ participants
Most sense would make one vote per team, not per participant, but I think this opportunity is lost at current state.
Anyway, it won't hurt anyone, there is nothing to lose or win in the CTC. But a leveled field for comp is the basic requirement, which isn't given in that case (regardless of results from dynos/slides are faster or slower).

I seem to recall this creating disagreements before on grounds that flywheel may not stop during the rest where low DF used. Personally I would have thought that 15 sec slowing would be essentially the same as stopped, but previously it was changed to allow a moving flywheel after the first. So are we happy this is achievable?

The next question is how to prove if this rule was followed. As it's not possible, I assume there will be mixed scores anyway.

The standing start element is impossible to police. I don't really care, but I can't imagine everyone will follow it.

I am taking it to mean that you cannot accelerate the flywheel during the rest breaks. If it still turning that is ok, probably will be as only 75 secs rest.

And you are right. But it's the question how to check if the flywheel wasn't accelerated during rest. This would only be possible to check with stroke data.

I agree, but isn't the whole ctc (and other online indoor rowing competitions) based on honesty anyway?
Athletes row, others just play games

Yes, it is. And there is nothing to win or lose, so it doesn't make sense to cheat.
I assume, some will not even read this rule and do the stuff as usual. I'm fine with it anyway, I do it for fun competition :)

I've attended many indoor rowing competition venues and can't recall any instances of more than a minute between the 'Stop Rowing' and 'Go' instructions. The fan may be still moving but there is very little energy retained after thirty seconds of inactivity.

Congratulations to the Delivery Room for breaking the hold that SPU has maintained so far this season.

Welcome to the Aussi Roos and Vesluj.com who have both made an impressive start.

The Diamonds absolutely hammered their own record of participation by launching 103 boats. I think their previous best was 85 in October last year.

Future Challengers:
January - Red Line Rowers
February - Gee Crew
March - FIN VS
April -FIN KeU
