Sat: New 5k run PB at Parkrun (23:32)
Sun: New 5k row RB at FoolsFestSprints virtual race (19:11)
Doing them back to back prob suggests I should have room for more in both too.
Both very good....well done
My 2k time on skierg is not trained, I mean I’m trained but not for 2k.HornetMaX wrote: ↑October 7th, 2024, 7:16 amWith 2 months of rowing, I think it will be piece of cake for him, no ? I mean, he has a 6:48 2K SkiErg PBDangerscouse wrote: ↑October 7th, 2024, 6:29 amYou've clearly got a very good engine, but it's still not easy to convert that into a sub 7 row.![]()
Well done. Brilliant is subjective, and also, hopefully, a moving target that will improved on again and again. Don't disparage what you've done by comparing yourself to others, as your best is always strong enough.DghSpanishWelsh wrote: ↑October 16th, 2024, 10:32 amNew PB on the skierg - 5k in 22:58.
Not a brilliant time on the ranking board, but progress.
Used a higher rating, which seemed to help eliminate excessive leaning.
PB is PB and always worth celebrating so congrats.DghSpanishWelsh wrote: ↑October 16th, 2024, 10:32 amNew PB on the skierg - 5k in 22:58.

Well done againDghSpanishWelsh wrote: ↑October 21st, 2024, 5:15 amAnother PB today: 5K in 21:57.7.
28 seconds off the last one, I believe.
Keeping the stroke rate higher (38 per minute - not as high as some advise, but just can't move that quickly) and feeling the benefit of interval training.
That's a really good improvement. Well doneDghSpanishWelsh wrote: ↑October 21st, 2024, 5:15 amAnother PB today: 5K in 21:57.7.

Great improvement! 38 SPM is actually really high for a 5K.DghSpanishWelsh wrote: ↑October 21st, 2024, 5:15 amAnother PB today: 5K in 21:57.7.

I need to update my 5k skierg as well. Did it during tour de skierg in February, so it's quite old
