PM5 screen faults

Apologies if this has been covered somewhere in the bowels of history, but i've come across a couple of PM5 screens (1st gen) that have a few horizontal lines that are dead on the display.

Is this likely to be a faulty display unit or just a bad contact from the mainboard to the display unit?

Edit: Sorry, i wrongly assumed this would be a rare occurrence, but it must be common enough for C2 to have mentioned it as a fault on the website. The LCD unit is broken and needs to be replaced.
