Sub 40 10K for the first time since 2021. Really pleased with this.

7:56.6 10,000m 1:59.1 207 1012 19
Congrats on the sub 40' milestone.....as others have said more to come as those rates increase for sure.
The only way to get comfy at higher rates is to do more higher rates
. But I started at R20 too and managed to get my 10km up to R24 for my all time PB. R20 to R24 is doable.

At the age of 66 (67 in 2 weeks) I've done a Lwt Lifetime best for the 100 metres of 16.5
DF was 206 62 spm.
I'd love to say I'm getting faster but the truth is I never did a 100 metres until I was 60 but happy enough to be quicker in this age category than the last one!
My next attempt at a ranking piece is the 1k so will try and improve my British Record of 3:26.1 (1:43.05 pace). ..Ouch!
67 year old, 72 kilo (159lbs), 5'8''/174cm (always the shortest on the podium!) male. Based just south of London.
Best rows as an over 60. One Hour.....16011 metres. 30 mins.....8215 metres. 100k 7hrs 14 mins.

Could it also be an unusual drag factor ? I think he didn't mention it (nor his weight class & height, if that matters too).
Yeah, good point to all of the above

I gave the 100 meteres another blast today.
Got a slightly higher Drag factor due to the moisture in the air on a wet day. (206 from Tuesday went up to 209 today....yes I need to vacuum clean it!)
Moved the footstrechers up a bit to 4 holes showing.
Started with a fast stroke forwards so a faster first stroke as the clock started when the ''bounce back'' of the drive started.
During the row hit a new ''Low Pull'' of 1:17 pace.
Ended up with 16.1 a new PB by 0.4 and equalled the British Record for the 65-69 Lwt Category.
Now I've got to keep going to try and knock off that last pesky 0.1 so I can have the record to myself!
67 year old, 72 kilo (159lbs), 5'8''/174cm (always the shortest on the podium!) male. Based just south of London.
Best rows as an over 60. One Hour.....16011 metres. 30 mins.....8215 metres. 100k 7hrs 14 mins.
