Hello
I have a model D, and have bought the PM5 with a new sensor. However the new sensor won’t fit into the gap. The previous sensor had one battery, but the new one has two and the plastic section it fits into has a piece that prevents the new sensor sitting onto the gap! Any suggestions?
Thanks
Gareth

I suspect we need some photos. Post them on https://imgur.com post the PHPBB2 code on here.
Also have you contacted Concept2 for after sales service (which they're very good at).

I haven’t contacted the company yet? Would they respond even if the rower is so old?
Thanks

Yes. They always answer. Email info@concept2.com. Just the other day they explained to me how to update the firmware in a 20-yea-old PM3.gareth.blount wrote: ↑September 4th, 2024, 3:34 pmhttps://imgur.com/a/1MQCtE8

But now that I'm posting ... battery on a sensor? Not sure what you mean.

Re: Model D new sensor not fitting
The new twin "Yellow" coil pickup will not fit in the old plastic single "Yellow" coil pickup holder.
You need to get the complete unit including the black plastic holder when you order one.
The new design is much improved, it can now provide 100% of the power to the monitor while rowing so the batteries last longer.
The old holder comes out easily from the top, use a blade screwdriver in the rectangle cut out in the frame and push the plastic tab towards the front of the rower while lifting it out at the same point.
