6k in >20:41.2<* this morning, inspired/shamed by my wife's heroic erg-half-the-Superbowl last night....

Thought I was going to die coming down the stretch, particularly when my sinuses decided that draining with 350 m to go would be good....

Shoot me for saying this but I'm actually looking forward to Crash Bs....

* Edited for accuracy

Took a neat nine seconds off my previous 2k PB - got a 6:48.5

My coach wants me at a 6:45 by the end of the season...so I have 4 months to drop 3 seconds

I think I'm all set then!

I did a marathon today. Towards the end I was wishing I could get silicone implants under the 'sitz' bones. I was sitting on a small air cushion and that helped but not enough. I went upstairs to take a shower afterwards, and I went up the stairs on my hands and knees--I wasn't sure I could make it walking. What fun.

I've had the C2 since November and this was my first marathon so it's a personal best. I've posted the result in the rankings (men, lightweight, 60-69.)

Byron

After failing my 2k attempt yesterday, I went for a 1k PB today. Still went out a little fast but finished 3:29.0 (goal 3:30) as a lwt, down from 3:36 as a hwt.

we'll see how 2k feels on Sunday.

Wasn't really in the mood for it but decided to do a 10K today, for the first time without a singlet. Don't think I will try that again, its a bit to messy

Anyway, cracked out a new 10K PB of 37:45.3. Flamed out in the last 10m with a HR of 184. It certainly helped being shadowed by my last 10K PB on the Rowpro screen, and a far cry from my first 10K attempt 2 months ago of 41:08
