I think I went once. I didn't need to go when I did my 50k, or anything less.RWAGR wrote: ↑February 29th, 2024, 8:38 amFor those of you who have done 100k+ rows: how often, if at all, did you pee? I didn’t go or feel the need to go at all during my 60k, despite taking on (but no doubt sweating out) adequate fluids. Trying to figure out my pit stop strategy for the 100k and whether I need to plan on a trip to the restroom.

Re: Endurance erging - A place to discuss 42, 50, 100k upwards.
I have done 2 x 100k events, one on the rower and the other on the skierg.
The rower (first event), I was paranoid about hydration and probably overdid the fluids beforehand. Consequently I had to go (used an adjacent bucket!) about 3 or 4 times from memory.
I was better prepared the second time on the skierg and found a good balance in terms of pre-hydration. Think I went once at about 66K, more so for the stretch and relive the different cramps.

Quick shoutout to 'Elizabeth' (Gilmore) and Andy Tomlinson for destroying the tandem, mixed, 100k world record, yesterday.
Finished it in well under 6 hours.
Avg pace of about 1:45.8.
Bonkers.

As much as I'm impressed, I'm not equally unsurprised. Two seriously amazing athletes.

Blimey - that is nuts fast for 100k with just two of them. What was their changeover strategy ?? Clearly not the 20 strokes each of the large team stuff.

That's insane!
Huge congratulations to them both!

Re: Endurance erging - A place to discuss 42, 50, 100k upwards.
I had a go at an ultra-row, myself yesterday.
I managed 12 hours, and just a touch under 169km (avg. pace of 2:07.9).
Had hoped to maybe target the 24hr WR. But, knew 2 hours in the was out the window and just tried to hold on as long as possible.

So impressive bro.
What was your rest/hydration/nutrition/pee strategy (in theory and practice)?
