I was super-excited when I noticed ErgData on iOS was able to record workouts by itself and I no longer had to start a rowing workout on my Apple Watch myself whenever I row and then have two workouts recorded in Fitness.
It appears that last worked on February 12. Since then I do the same thing as before: open ErgData, choose a workout, note that my AppleWatch is displaying my heart rate, do the workout, and... no workout recorded in Fitness.

Try restarting your iPhone or iPad. This can help refresh the system and clear any temporary issues that may be affecting the integration between ErgData and the Fitness app.
Re: ErgData no longer records workouts in the Fitness app on iOS
May not be relevant but I also lost the automated link between Ergdata and the Fitness app on my iPhone on 17 Feb. I think this followed an Ergdata update, but could have been IOS. When I investigated properly on the 20th I found that the link to Apple Health had been switched off. Turning it back on reinstated the auto link to the Fitness app. I couldn't find any way to get the missed three days to backload. I hadn't changed anything manually on the 17th so the settings change happened as part of an automated update of something.

MPx, yours was the correct answer. I got an email reply as well with the same advice.

gcanyon, this seems to have happened to me sometime after 3 July. Did you ever find a way--short of manually adding the data--to sync missed workouts from ErgData to the Fitness app?MPx, yours was the correct answer. I got an email reply as well with the same advice.
If this is gonna be a regular thing Concept2 should provide a way to force sync the data.
