You are going to have an almost impossible job of finding a decent one of those these days.

I'm still repairing and fully refurbishing them with success but more and more of them are now a write off.

You are better off with a new 4th Gen PM5 to be honest.

If you can get a really good PM2 Rev 2.3 version that was made from 2001 to 2003 it will be the most reliable.

The version number is printed inside the battery compartment.

People still love them and if you ever only put good quality batteries in it, then it was the most reliable monitor c2 ever made.

The complexity of the PM5 means they will not last. The old 8051 micro in the PM2 just goes and goes. It could have been even more reliable with a different PCB layout and a sealed battery compartment but it took C2 all the way until the 2nd Gen PM5 to finally sort that out.

The component count on the PM5 is horrendous and they are easily stuffed by bad atmospheric conditions causing corrosion. I have started to clearcoat the entire boards of the PM5.

Carl is right, I like my model C just the way it always was. pm2 has everything i need in a monitor.. too bad the battery leaked!
