Teams are not normally based on geography as we're all ''online'' they tend to be worldwide.

I have many New Zealanders in the team I help to run, The Diamonds (over Sixties Ergging Group) but you have to be 59 before the end of this season (30th of April) to qualify.

If you are please do let me know and I'll let you know how to join.

If not then have a look at the teams page and message Forum Flyers as they have people in NZ too and are open age.

Happy rowing whatever you choose :D

Hi, Rod:

I am interested in the Diamonds. I heard about the team from Janet, who lives near me in Massachusetts (USA). She raves about the team!

When/how often do you meet? What are the team requirements, besides age?

Thanks for sharing more.

Christine

Hiya Christine,

Thank you for your interest, any friend of Janets is a friend of ours, she does a great job for us!

You can do as much or as little as you like with us, you can clock up metres at your own pace although there are races too if you want them.

I send out regular updates to everyone via the C2 email system so you’ll be kept up to date and will know you’re part of the team.

We also have Chat Forum so you can converse with other members about training and all sorts of things…erging can be lonely but you’re never alone with us as the chat forum is always there.

We also have a Facebook Group although that does have some activity requirements.

Here's the instructions of how to join in with us …it all goes through your C2 logbook.

Do please be careful when joining though as there are a few teams with ‘’Diamonds’’ in their name…we are ‘’The’’ Diamonds (Over Sixties Erging Group) and I’m shown as captain so you’ll know it’s us.

1. In your online logbook, click on ‘’Teams’’ at the top of the page.

2. In the Join a Team section, click on

‘’Choose A Team’’

and select The Diamonds (Over Sixties Erging Group) from the list.

I’m shown as Captain so you’ll know it’s us.

3. Click ‘’Select Team’’.

Then ‘’Send Application’’

See you soon!

Kind regards;

Rod Chinn
