Pm5 usb lost workouts
Pm5 usb lost workouts
I log my workouts with a usb stick plugged into my pm5. A couple of times recently, the workout failed to write to the usb stick. Is there any way to recover the lost workouts?

Not exactly and, probably not onto your USB stick.
They will be logged in the PM5 onboard memory. So you can hook it up with a USB-A to USB-B printer cable and upload to https://log.concept2.com but that's as far as you can go.
While you've got the PM5 connected to your laptop take the opportunity to upgrade the PM5 firmware, that's likely to remove the risk of this happening again.

Even when using a USB stick? I think in this case it is stored on the stick, but not in the PM5 memory. But I could be wrong...

Re: Pm5 usb lost workouts
In my experience, when writing to USB fails, it will write to internal memory.
But recenty I had errors reported where it said it failed to write on the USB and written to memory, but still wrote to USB.
Re: Pm5 usb lost workouts
Ok, so typically it is one or the other and in your rare cases both, but never none of storages. From how the question is asked by slate, I assume he faces the last option: none of both storages is written.

If I choose "Memory" on the Main screen, I see a bunch of workouts. Is that what you mean? Unfortunately, they're all very old and none of my recent workouts is listed there.Citroen wrote: ↑January 2nd, 2024, 11:50 amNot exactly and, probably not onto your USB stick.
