Hello:
First post here. Am close to purchasing a Concept2 RowErg and am curious if there are any disadvantages to a unit with the long legs versus the standard short legs? It’s possible (but not definite) that my wife would be more likely to use the rower if I get the long legs. Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.

The rowerg with the longer legs (emulates a Model E with the seat 6in/15cm higher) is designed for the older folks who may have a struggle getting low enough to mount the machine.
The price is more $990.00 vs $1150.00 for the longer legs.
The only rule is get the feet mounted the correct way round.

Yeah, cost is the only disadvantage - exactly the same machine otherwise - higher can be an advantage but not really if reasonably able bodied.

I agree that cost is the only real downside.
I have a Model C at home, and use a Model E at the gym, but other than the differences between the PMs, they're essentially the same thing. Of course the location of your feet relative your butt when you're on the seat but have both feet on the ground is different, but for me that's a pretty minor detail.

Standard Model D is better if you are putting in huge power, otherwise the Model E is fine.

Thanks to everyone for your replies.
I’ll probably go for the tall legs & if I ever get to that “huge power” level will buy a set of short legs!
