ErgData, RowPro and PM5

Post by newbluesfan » November 7th, 2023, 9:35 am

Hi all

Am I right that

1. connecting all three at the same time is okay if I am rowing offline with RP? I should be able to save to C2 logbook from Either app?

2. connecting all three at the same time is not okay if I am rowing online with RP? ErgData doesn't respond but RP behaves normally?

The reason that I am asking is that I am having trouble saving online RP row data to my C2 logbook at the moment and would like a workaround, if possible using ErgData

cheers

I have used Rowpro and Ergdata when rowing online without a problem. You need to set PM5 and Ergdata up first then open Rowpro, join the session and don't do a stroke until the row starts otherwise it throws you out of Rowpro. Then use Ergdata to update the C2 logbook.

Is it possible to have two BT connections with a PM5?

Rowpro is USB but I think you can. I always connect my HR monitor to the PM5 via BT not ant and then connect Ergdata.

Ah, that explains it. I use EXR, which typically connects via BT and normally uploads to C2 as well, but like the OP I like a backup as well. I found that while you can connect a HR belt and use an app, a PM5 seems to only send data to a single BT recipient.
