@citroen...
Due to the 'invalid password' message when registering, I seem to have registered myself a couple times. Please can you remove the registrations for "Chris Mewes (UK)" and "Chris Mewes UK", and reset the password for "Chris Mewes". Many thanks.

Three in a row at the top of the leaderboard for Te Waka. As a relatively new team, the Delivery Room has excelled in occupying the silver medal position for the opening challenges this season. Well done to both teams and everyone who contributed to the CTC last month.
The Diamonds once more beat their own record in floating 68 boats on the virtual river. That's a total of 340 rowers; a remarkable achievement.
As new teams with boats in at least three consecutive months, Argentina have claimed the November challenge and the December edition goes to Age Against The Machine.
Welcome to EXR Rowing: 106 points on your first challenge is a fine opener.
Regards,
Joe

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
is that really a female Stefant15 near the top of the entries with an identical time to a male with the same name? Not saying impossible but it would be amazing.

Good day,
Please can you remove StefanT15 from the Delivery Room's leaderboard. He was accidentally registered as a female rower not a hwt male
Many thanks
Richard

It's been changed now Lindsay. If you didn't know Stefan T is a former Springbok rugby player. I'm guessing Stefant15 is his daughter/ wife?

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
If I had to guess... When you create a profile, that profile is just there. You can't change affiliation or weight; you have to create a new profile for that. So if Stefan accidentally created an initial profile for himself as a female, and then realized his error and created a second one for him as a male, that would work well until the day he accidentally posts his time as under the female profile. And there isn't a way to delete times that I'm aware of, so then perhaps he went back and reposted as a male, and changed his female profile time to 19:00 so that it's at the absolute bottom of the leaderboard. That helps with correcting the distribution of rowers in the team's lead boat, but could result in floating an additional boat that shouldn't be floated.Dangerscouse wrote: ↑August 15th, 2023, 7:39 amIt's been changed now Lindsay. But at this point there's nothing that can be done without website changes, right?

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
The "corrected" time should always be set to the highest value possible, as this seems to be the only cure of the problem.
Doing so will ensure that every boat, which is floated unintentionally, will at least be the last valid boat of the list.
In this specific case a time was used, which is near to first valid entries - not a good option from my point of view.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Actually I believe Dougie (Citroen) can delete any profile created in error as long as its not been used to contribute to a (past) months challenge. So if Stefan has/d made the error as set out above, then it would be best if he just asked on here for the wrong ID to be deleted....but it would need to be before the end of this cycle since a time has been submitted.

I can do sex changes.
I found it easier to delete Stefan's entry then delete "her" ID.

Here's a question for the consensus.
When should I weigh myself to compete as a lightweight in the CTC? Does it have to be immediately prior to the row, or would being under the heavyweight threshold sometime that day count?

Personally, I think that anytime on that day is fine. Boxers don't weigh in immediately prior to fighting, and that's arguably more important. The weight cut off is a little arbitrary isn't it? I know there needs to be one, but it's not like one kg will make any real difference.stevegaspars wrote: ↑August 20th, 2023, 4:25 amHere's a question for the consensus.
