It seems like I'm the only person who this happens to on my team.

After a 2k test, my forearms will be aching badly and will feel dead. The only reason I can come up for this is that I sprint with my arms more than my legs? I don't know if this is bad or shows poor technique or what?

Too tight a grip during the 2K test ?

You said forearms, not wrist, so not likely a bad grip.

Could it be your forearms are your weak link ? Or if your legs are weak, your forearms can't compensate for the full duration, or final sprint, of a 2K test.

Do you bring your wrists up toward your shoulder, rather than drawing the elbows back with the forearms staying more or less parallel to the floor ?

That used to happen to me (during my first 5 2k's) but now it only happens after 15k + workouts. Give it some time and if it hurts after your 6th 2k then maybe something is wrong.

make sure you use the lats at the end, and keep the arms straight during the leg drive

Perhaps you are holding the handle too tightly. During the recovery, try to play with the fingers like on a piano. You should be completely relaxed in your forearms.
