Thanks all, actually all my previous attempts at 2k and 5k I've always been more disciplined and done negative splits.

Today I had planned to start at 2:03-04 but well you know feel good in first two km and subsequently paid the price for it. :D well you live and learn to fight another day. Have a good week ahead folks!

Very gritty last couple splits! Sucks fighting the power loss. But you stayed stuck in mentally. Big PB!
I might have seen the white light earlier today
Some time back I remember reading an elite marathoner saying he thinks its much harder for non elites to run 4hours than for him to do 2hr runs as you suffer twice as long.

Congrats - that one also looked very painful for different reasons; well dug in at the end though!

I usually don't row on Mondays but there was the Juneteenth challenge so I rowed the 1900m as warmup for a 500m TT: PB was 1:38.3 and is now 1:36.8 (here). As usual, started too fast struggled with the end. It's becoming an habit.

Also congrats!.....fly/die is fairly normal pacing approach for a 500m :)

Good work. As far as 500M pacing it is normal to fade at the end - you can get away with it on a 500M much more than other rows.

You have every right to be proud. That is a massive improvement in a 2k. Impressive to increase rating at 800m and neg split to the end :!:

This is nice to just look at - great discipline and effort to negative split and take a good chunk off of your PB! Were you still going faster in last 100M or did you start to fade?
