Congrats - always really satisfying when you smash a pb like that!robhely wrote: ↑May 8th, 2023, 5:18 amHad a go at the 10,000m today and surprised myself by taking almost 40 seconds off my previous PB, so was very happy with that. I could really notice the BPP paying off, during the last 10 mins of the session I was able to hold a good pace and even speed up a bit towards the end. My first attempt at the 10,000m was quite different; I felt awful towards the end and the paced dropped off dramatically.

40 seconds is huge - great work! Also, you went under 40 minutes which is a good milestone. The pacing was pretty solid and you went faster in the end so all positive.robhely wrote: ↑May 8th, 2023, 5:18 amHad a go at the 10,000m today and surprised myself by taking almost 40 seconds off my previous PB, so was very happy with that. Beat my 5k pb by over 10sec. and finished in 18:37.5.
Did not expect that time myself but knew after 4-5 minutes that I could keep the pace, so I just did

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Thanks Stu. I'll keep plugging away trying to get faster. Short term goals were to get over 7k for 30 mins and under 21 mins for 5k and I've done both in the last week.
Next goal is to try to duck under 7:50 for 2k which I'll try to do in the next few days.
