Although I have recovered well from Covid, I felt really shabby today, as well as the last days. My shoulder sucks, I sleep bad as pain kicks in while sleeping and I wake up, my body feels weak.
I needed something really hard today to overcome this feeling and get back on track, so I decided to give the 60min PB a go today after 10min of lower power warmup row.

I knew I needed slightly above 16k to reach my season goal of 95th %ile, but I targeted 16300 - 1:50.4 pace.
Started a bit faster to gain some buffer, but after 30min I knew that 1:50.4 will not work and slowed down to not HD.
Last 10mins I tried to add some power again which worked more or less well, but overall it was near the edge for today. Nevertheless, added nearly 700m to old PB!
Now I feel good and hope to recover well for a first go on CTC next week 💪

Thx Alex. Even I did not reach my target, I am satisfied with the result. Not HD'd and much above the minimum goal required distance 💪
Reached position 21/683 in rankings, what turnes out to be 97th %ile.
Next season I will work on further improvement.

And you should never say never...put in the work and get the results 🤜🤛

Thx guys.
Now, after a hot bath I feel a bit better and more relaxed 😄
But I bet this will give me some sore muscles tomorrow...

Nick, I think the same. On a good day I should be able to get some more meters.

Thank you!
The shoulder started hurting when restarted after covid. No idea what the problem is, but doing some drills help, so the shoulder was not a big issue yesterday. It gets a bigger problem on lower load rows like steady states 🤔
Hope to sort it out the next days/weeks and come back to full training schedule.

The good - this is a great result and I am happy for you. Reaching 16K is a big milestone and then you went well beyond that.

The bad - my 60 min PB is really old and now you beat it, so it has me thinking I need to retest it.

Absolutely superb result, good job :) And good on you for completing it after realizing speed was a bit high!
Thank you!
Really glad I slowed down, otherwise I am sure I would have HD'd...

Haha, true 😅
Was not aware of that, but that's only because you didn't go for the CTC again last month 😎😁
Thank you, too 😊
