Hello Everyone, I normally log into Ergdata on my phone and pair it with the PM5 on my rowing machine, then set a Single Distance workout up and send it to the PM5. I start the workout and once it's complete, I hit menu on the PM5 so everything syncs up. I've never had a problem before.
The last two workouts I have done show up in the logbook as ~34 minute 8km workouts instead of 43 minute 10km. It also syncs with Strava, which shows up with the title 8000m row, but the distance shown is 9996 meters and the time is correct (~ 43 min). The data synced to Garmin matches the logbook (8km @ 34 minutes).
Have I inadvertently set up a 2k warmup or cooldown or is something else going on?
Thanks!

Send an email to info@concept2.com to get your system sorted out.
There's no concept of a warmup/cooldown with Ergdata, everything is just a row/bike/ski.
Re: PM5 Uploading wrong workout length
I think you didn't give ErgData enough time to record the workout before you hit "Menu" on the PM5.ultraslowrow wrote: ↑April 11th, 2023, 12:16 pmonce it's complete, I hit menu on the PM5 so everything syncs up. I've never had a problem before.
That happened to me once, so I recorded my PM5 data - which was recorded correctly - into my logbook manually, but remembered from then on to let ErgData do its thing before I start punching buttons on the PM5.

Re: PM5 Uploading wrong workout length
Never come across that before Mark. I always hit menu on the PM5 first once I've finished a workout and have suggested that to others to help solve Ergdata logging problems. Admittedly I don't reach up while pulling the last stroke so its not "immediate". I finish the piece, gasp a bit, remove the footstraps and sit forward and then hit the menu key on the PM5 - so maybe around 30secs after finishing, definitely lots less than a minute.

Re: PM5 Uploading wrong workout length
Don't do that. When Ergdata is in use, we control all traffic via the phone, not the PM. So let it do so. The button at topleft shows the options, but just what they mean may need some thought, as always.once it's complete, I hit menu on the PM5

Re: PM5 Uploading wrong workout length
I hit menu on the PM5 about 30 seconds after finishing, probably very similar to what MPx describes above.
I reached out to Concept2 and am upgrading the firmware from V256 to V256.004 to see if that makes a difference.
I'll also end workouts using my phone to see if that makes a difference.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I will let you know if this addresses the issue.

Re: PM5 Uploading wrong workout length
Even the FAQ notes that hitting menu is a valid option:
"How do I stop and save workouts such as Just Row or intervals?
You can either end the piece by pressing the Menu button on the PM5, or you can press the "hamburger" menu in the top left on the ErgData workouts screen and choose one of the options there."
