I have been following the socalled Pete Plan for some time.
The next competition I will be joining isn't due until December.

So for the next 6 months I would like to go back to weightlifting and therefore I need to ramp down the erging to 3 times a week before ramping up again a couple of months before the competition.

I thought about reducing the Pete Plan to 3 days a week.

Which 3 of the 6 weekly sessions in the plan should I do in your opinion?

If you take three sessions out of the Pete Plan it's not the Pete Plan any more. The best thing you can do with your three weekly erging sessions during your 'off' season is as much low rate distance work of 60 minutes or more duration as possible.

Forget it, the pete plan is erging 6 times a week and nothinhg else.

If you want to do more weights and only erg for 3 times a week. Do 2 times longer stuff 8/12 K, Do 1 time a bit interval, not to hard though.
And during your weighttraining, do 10 min warm up and 10 min cool down on the erg. That way you combine the both. I did this during the last 4 months and improved 30 sec on the 2 k. keep in mind I started from 0

Weighttraining and hard rowing don't go togetter well. Your main focus lies in becoming stronger. If you row too hard you don,t give body enough rest. So no real hard pieces.
