Congratulations Ron! Amazing achievement! I wish you many more!
Andrea
P.S. At my current rate of 12M/16 years I would need 62.4 years to achieve that milestone...

15th out of 457 teams....JOIN us !
Things are looking up...no time for complacency, though! 51 Lunies on the Challenge team roster - including some long time participants whose affiliate teams don't float a Challenge team...we see you, and thank you !!
Speaking of floating, Minnie assures us that the atmospheric river besieging the Sacramento area isn't putting her in danger (although there WAS a greater than 12 hr power outage). Meanwhile, Denver airport keeps working on being a bag collection station - this time with freezing fog. And it was a freeze yer face kind of walk with the K9s yesterday. Uff da. No doubt that other Lunies are experiencing galactic weather challenges, too. Glad to have the option of INDOOR ERGING!

Congratulations!
So are you biking more than erging?
Are we placing bets on if bike meterage passes row meterage before 20 Mm - a full orbit?

As far as will bike meterage surpass the rowing machine...I still have my rower, and was delighted to put meters on it once again...until I tore my meniscus. I did want to reach 20 MM rowing meters, so I still plan to do that. Getting the 30 MM bike meters still needed (which would be 15 MM net)...no lie, it IS easier for me right now!
I've actually thought about this...and know that there are some things, like numerical equity, that matter to me .... so, when I calculate that I have 10 MM bike meters - that means I have 5 MM towards an orbital total! My total meters would be 16.5 MM plus 5 MM for the 21.5 towards half an orbit. Concept2 lumps all the bike meters into the lifetime meters as a 1 to 1. I disagree with that approach. If we are taking the time to pound bike ergers over the head time and time again that during Challenges our total meters must be doubled to be counted, then why wouldn't we believe that the total meters should similarly be counted?! Yes, I will happily take the 10 MM bike erg prize, knowing that it is being given at 5 MM overall...but that's different than what I see is kind of an integrity issue. I'm sure Concept2 has logic on this, but it eludes me.

Hooboy! Getting a late start on my "homework" of the stats today!
I may have mentioned this before, but since it is FRESH in my mind, you get a double dose if it's a repeat, because it STILL makes me laugh.
It's not often that a visit to the dentist makes any of us laugh, but recent practices since the dreaded Virus, sent me into the land of snickering today. It probably would have been a full snort if that were possible. Prior to your dental cleaning, the hygienist hands you, the victim, a paper cup filled with a mouthwash to whatever proportion the dental office has designated as "enough". We are told to swish this for about a minute, and of course there are NO CLOCKS near The Chair. No secret that I have an active imagination. Apparently I also have active swisher capability too. The thing about this mouthwash stuff is that it FOAMS. Well, after about 30 seconds, I'm starting to envision what I will look like as a rabid patient...foaming at the mouth. This makes me laugh, and it is SO HARD not to spew foam when the laughter starts. Good luck with that.

Thanks so much for all the effort you put into the virtual bar, on NYE, Danwho! I was looking forward to viewing and imagining all the interesting drinks ... but, the latest "atmospheric river" storm to blast through California, took out our power from 8:00 pm on NYE, till lunch the next day. It started getting chilly after a couple of hours, so everyone went to bed early, to keep warm. (I did think about y'all, enjoying the party in Ten Forward, and gave a wistful, virtual nod to my midnight champagne.) Next storm is due to hit within the hour ... this time we have candles, flashlights, snacks, etc., at the ready ... plus a just-delivered battery pack for our cell phones ... thanks for that recommendation, K-2!
